As the year draws to a close and we take time with our families and loved ones, it is a time to reflect on care and compassion. In 2017 we reached a momentous milestone for the organisation, the celebration of our 150th anniversary of caring for Victorian elders.
This Summer edition of The Link celebrates just some of the highlights of the past six months including the opening of Royal Freemasons Sale, our second aged care facility in regional Victoria, our premier partnership with the much loved Seniors Festival and the ongoing dedication of our exceptional team of employees. I must congratulate the two staff members who were recipients of this year’s Lorna Chapman Award, in recognition of their exemplary performance in the workplace: Magdalena Torres, Personal Care Attendant and Shane Lowe, Case Manager in Home Care.
In presenting you with this edition, I would like to thank all of our employees, volunteers and customers across our many locations in Victoria, for the very important part you play in delivering our Mission. I sincerely wish everyone a joyous Christmas and a happy holiday season. We are a family of many faiths and beliefs and we share a uniting bond of goodwill and service to each other. May the joy and peace of this time of year be with you throughout 2018.
