Freemasons from the Dromana Lodge visited the residents of Mount Martha valley following the lodge’s generous donation of two thousand dollars.

With the donation, residents decided to purchase three outdoor table settings and a basketball ring. The basketball ring was suggested by Dementia Support Australia to specifically help a resident living with dementia who had been a basketball player and a coach for most of his life.

Malcom Thompson, the former secretary of the Dromana Lodge, alongside former officers Scott Lines-Perrier, W.M; William Godwin, Treasurer; Stan Rydel, S.W. received a tour of the home.

In a thank you letter to employees, volunteers and residents after the morning tea, Malcolm wrote of his gratitude to everyone ‘who worked so hard to provide us with an insight into such a wonderful working establishment.’

“The tour highlighted the facility that is Mount Martha Valley which provided a fresh, clean, bright, airy up to date state of the art look and feel with every possible comfort for residents. The tour outside provided a view of well-kept garden plots, good security and amenities,” he said.

Royal Freemasons sincerely thanks the members of Dromana Lodge No. 511 for their ongoing support of Mount Martha Valley through their generous donations and volunteering.
