The work of our Volunteers makes a real difference to the lives of our customers.
Royal Freemasons celebrated international volunteers day and christmas with a special luncheon in December 2015 at Coppin Hall.
It was the annual event to thank our Volunteers for their tireless effort and the generous commitment they bring to our organisation to make a real difference in the lives of others. The day kicked off with light refreshments amid the festive decorations and colorful balloons creating a ‘buzz’ throughout Coppin Hall.
The Melbourne Youth Orchestra entertained our volunteers playing a mix of relaxing jazz and a few Christmas Carols, all adding to the joyful atmosphere on the day.
Chief Executive Felix Pintado, presented Awards to volunteers nominated by our Lifestyle teams in recognition of the important contribution volunteers make by assisting with activities and entertainment.
This was followed by a sit down lunch and a time to swap stories, enjoy each other’s company and reflect on the year.
The celebration was well attended and our volunteers were able to enjoy the occasion while some of our management team took great pleasure in serving them food and refreshments. At the end of the day each volunteer was presented with a small gift of thanks as an expression of gratitude, and one lucky volunteer from each table won a beautiful poinsettia which was the Christmas table center piece on the day.
At Royal Freemasons we have over 250 volunteers across seven facilities who donated over 300 hours each week in volunteering – totaling over 15,000 hours per year! The personal dedication offered to our organisation assists to support the programs and activities for our customers. For Volunteering opportunities.
