The top floor of the main building of the Royal Freemasons aged care facility, Coppin Centre in Melbourne, is undergoing a major refurbishment.
The unprecedented demand for high quality, ageing-in-place services in the area of inner Melbourne is driving this refurbishment project which involves a building program comprising:
- Relocation of Day Therapy from Level 3 to Level 1, of the building.
- Relocation of Support Services from level 3 to an office 460 metres away at Level 7, 580 St Kilda Road.
- Refurbishment of Level 3 into 18 aged care suites.
The Day Therapy Centre will see the expansion of space dedicated to Royal Freemasons Wellness Services such as:
- Two Day Therapy treatment rooms providing specialised rehabilitation equipment
- Dedicated Reception area
- Consulting Suites – GP, optometrist & podiatrist
- Pharmacy
- Physiotherapist
- Administration
Coppin Level 3 will provide premium ‘ageing in place’ residential suites, presenting options for residents to either live in apartment style accommodation or full service residential aged care and even to be able to transition between the two options. Each well-appointed suite offers a kitchenette, home office and lounge area, with some offering superb city skyline views. Communal formal lounge, dining rooms and library spaces take full advantage of the inner city location views and provide residents with the opportunity to engage with others or continue to pursue their interests. The refurbishment aims to bridge the gap in the market for a truly ageing in place service offering, where individuals or a couple have a desire to transition into residential care without the need to forego on quality care and hotel type amenities and services.
