On Monday, 17 November, the 35th Annual Masonic Charity Golf Day was held at Yering Meadows Golf Club attended by 65 golfers.
Yering Meadows is rated among the top 100 courses in Australia and the highest rated professional Golf Course at which a Masonic Charity Golf day has been held. Long serving Royal Freemasons staff member Gemma Piantella supplied a large quilt made by her own hand which was raffled and won by Denis Henry. Royal Freemason’s Chief Operating Officer, Michael Wild addressed the attendees at the Charity Golf Dinner, expressing his appreciation to the organisers for fundraising on behalf of Royal Freemasons over a 35-year period to deliver a positive experience in ageing for residents and customers of the Homes.
The 2014 Charity Golf Day raised in excess of $5,000. These funds will assist the 2014 ‘Dig Deep for Garden Therapy’ Appeal via construction of enhanced garden environments for our residents to experience. A big thank you to the organisers of the 35th Annual Masonic Charity Golf Day, Philip Elsbury and Stuart Thompson who gave generously of their time to ensure that the day was a success and that a good time was had by all.
