Proudly reflecting on 150 years

LAST YEAR, ROYAL FREEMASONS CELEBRATED 150 YEARS OF CARING FOR AND SUPPORTING OLDER PERSONS LIVING IN VICTORIA.

From our humble beginnings as a pair of cottages off the unsealed Punt Road in colonial Melbourne, Royal Freemasons has transformed the aged care experience of many and continues to set the standard of elder care. To commemorate our very special anniversary, we organised a host of celebratory activities. These included the release of a new commemorative book that tells our fascinating story, Royal Freemasons signage was used on Yarra Trams across key routes, and a beautiful floral display on St Kilda Road was created as a specially commissioned ‘Royal Freemasons 150th’ design with more than 7,000 flowering plants. We also opened four additional facilities during 2017 – Flora Hill, Mount Martha Valley, Royal Freemasons Bendigo and Royal Freemasons Sale – all providing high quality care for older Victorians and economic benefit within their local communities. Now in our 151st year, Royal Freemasons looks to the future. We are in a period of innovation. We will build our new three to five year Strategic Plan for 2019 – 2023 by engaging our employee and  resident customers for their feedback on what matters most to them. We will continue to develop aged-care solutions to further improve the quality of life of retired Victorians. Since our earliest days, Royal Freemasons has always valued talented and compassionate caring. We equip our carers with state-ofthe-art resources and professional development opportunities to help provide the best service and experience for every older person in our care. Rest assured, Royal Freemasons is the best choice to take the next step on your life journey, whether it be help with the shopping or moving into one of our standard-setting facilities. Welcome to the next 150 years!
