The Australian Government is reforming in-home aged care to help older people live independently at home for longer. The new Support at Home program will replace Home Care Packages from 1 July 2025.
The Commonwealth Home Support Programme will transition no earlier than 1 July 2027.
Royal Freemasons offers subsidised in-home services to older people through the Home Care Packages (HCP) program and the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), based on their support needs and age eligibility.
You may be eligible for subsidised aged care if:
You need help with some everyday tasks
You are 65 years or older (50 years or older for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people)
You are on a low income, homeless or at risk of being homeless, and aged 50 years or older (45 years or older for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people)
