Sunday, 7th October was an ideal day to “start the conversation”. Three marquees were set up at Federation Square with our friendly staff and a fair amount of information was provided to help Victorian Seniors learn more about Home Care, Retirement Living and Residential Aged Care.
‘The spirit of Royal Freemasons is based on community participation so we fit in very well with the Seniors Festival. It is all about getting social ̵̶ it’s one of the things we encourage our elders to do – so this year will be especially significant for us,’ said chief executive Felix Pintado.
The services and homes of Royal Freemasons are located throughout Victoria, and we’ve been providing accommodation and care since 1867. In all that time, we’ve stood by our motto ‘For You For Life,’ offering the kind of service that people have come to expect from such a trusted name as Royal Freemasons.
The celebration for older Victorians was a free public event and the main stage presented continuous live music with enjoyment and dance. Many joined in the activity early on the River Terrace with Zumba and various multicultural groups performances capturing the day with so much fun and entertainment.
The Public Transport Victoria Tram Coach was present to provide education sessions for Seniors on how to avoid slips, trips and falls when they’re travelling on the tram.
Beautiful choral performances and classical music at Deakin Edge theatre were also enjoyed by people of all ages.
It was certainly an outstanding day celebrating with Victorian Seniors who continue to make such a valuable contribution to our society.
