DARVALL LODGE STAFF AND MANAGER, MELINA BENGER PAID A VISIT TO THE WAVERLEY GARDENS SHOPPING CENTRE IN MULGRAVE DURING APRIL.
The team hosted a display and information booth, and had the opportunity to talk to people about what was important to them in their later years and the ways they wanted to live.
“Being out and about in our local area and making plenty of new friends was lovely,” says Melina. “So many people came up to us to share their wonderful stories.”
It is important to let the community know that they should be “starting the conversation now” about affordable aged care and the accommodation options available to them. It was the first time the Darvall Lodge team held an event like this in their community.
They said it was such great fun, that they’ll be getting out and about again soon.
