Collected giving at Centennial Lodge

Our home in Wantirna South, centennial lodge, celebrated its biggest morning tea in may this year since the campaign first started in 2013. This year, Centennial Lodge raised over $150. Carers, invited friends, residents and family gathered together, then donated the much-needed funds to help beat cancer.

Proceeds go to Cancer Council’s work in research, prevention and patient support.

“Hosting a morning tea is very rewarding and a great way to help people improve their lives,” says Centennial Lodge Lifestyle Coordinator, Jackie Maksik.

Nearly 40 per cent of Australian cancer deaths are preventable.

Thinking of ways to cut cancer risk? Get checked, limit alcohol intake, eat a healthy diet, be physically active, quit smoking and maintain a healthy weight.
