A Journey of Care

ROYAL FREEMASONS AND THE NATIONAL AGEING RESEARCH INSTITUTE (NARI), ARE WORKING TOGETHER TO DEVELOP AND PILOT A REVOLUTIONARY TEMPLATE OF ENHANCED CARE.

Royal Freemasons comprises a number of services aimed at tracking, integrating and maintaining the consistency of all the medical, functional and emotional requirements and treatments of an individual customer from the moment they enter our care and through all stages of their subsequent journey.

The concept allows better administrative capabilities and, importantly, closer collaboration with family members. For You For Life Tapestry, the system that creates an information-rich “Transition Map,” was piloted at Coppin Lodge and Colbran Lodge, at Coppin Centre.

By maintaining the older, established care structure at Darvall Lodge as a control site, Senior Geriatrician, Associate Professor Dr Sam Scherer and the NARI investigators were able to evidence many benefits of such an exacting and streamlined person-centred care model. Given such clearly positive outcomes, For You For Life Tapestry will be rolled out across our residential aged care facilities later in 2016.
