A blast from the past at Mount Martha Valley

On Saturday, October 13, Mount Martha Valley held its second annual Vintage Car Show from 11am – 2pm. The cars on display came from the Southern Peninsula and Historical Car Club which has several classics, veterans and vintage cars. Residents, staff and visitors were impressed by the cars present including; Mustangs, Fords and Corvettes.

Everyone that attended was able to vote for the best Car at the day and a vintage red Chevrolet in immaculate condition was crowned as the crowd favourite.

The event offered something for the whole family. The kids’ section had
a big shaded area with a jumping castle, horse rides, face painting, an animal farm and a circus performer, Mr Bee Bop. There was also a free sausage sizzle and coffee stand.

The Rattling Red Duo provided live music throughout the day from the fifties, sixties and seventies and had guests dancing along.

Three marquees were set up to provide free health checks, home gardening products and a Royal Freemasons information booth. Guided tours of the home ran for the entire day and visitors commented on and were impressed by the modern and light-filled home as well as the wellness programme.

The car show was enjoyed by the whole family and the event is set to return next year!
