There is nothing quite like a new set of clothes to help you feel fresh, renewed and confident. For many of us, it’s something that we may take for granted, but for some of the people in our care, it is a luxury they can no longer afford.
That is why we are excited to launch our Clothed with Compassion Appeal, raising funds to purchase essential clothing for our residents in need.
Across our seven aged care homes, there are a number of residents with limited financial means and little or no family support to buy them new clothes — but with your help, we can change that.
At Royal Freemasons, we want to ensure that these residents feel supported, connected and part of a compassionate community that cares for their needs.
Imelda, one of our Lifestyle Coordinators, sees firsthand how something as simple as new clothes can lift a resident’s spirits and sense of self-worth.
“New clothes are not just about making these residents feel good, but, most of all, about helping them feel cared for. Because their families are not always there to provide for them, this campaign will help ensure they have these clothes. It may seem simple, but it means so much to those in need, especially those who are financially disadvantaged. We really want to be their family and help fill that gap.”
This is your chance to support their dignity and wellbeing by providing the comfort and confidence that comes with a new set of clothes.
Thank you for your generous contribution and for the very special difference you make to the people in our care.
