Elizabeth Gardens
Residential Aged Care Beds: 68
2-8 Elizabeth Street, Burwood, Victoria 3125
Set in a well-established, tranquil garden environment, Elizabeth Gardens rests on a grassy knoll with plentiful outdoor retreats and garden views from every room, giving the feel of a rural village.
However, the bustling Burwood shopping strip intersecting Toorak and Burwood Roads is nearby with the property bordering Warrigal Road. This provides the convenience of shopping and easy public transport connections, including the tramline to the city.
Elizabeth Gardens is an Ageing in Place residence, with 38 private ageing in place bedrooms, each with en-suite and sitting area. It also has 12 single high care bedrooms with en-suite and 9 high care twin rooms with shared facilities.
Every resident has a specially tailored care plan taking into consideration a wide range of medical, clinical and lifestyle requirements. The residence offers a calm, friendly atmosphere. Its excellent location also provides easy access to nearby Gardiners Creek Trail and parklands car parking, only five minutes by car from Elizabeth Gardens.
Elizabeth Gardens delivers the commitment to care, excellence and choice that has earned the Royal Freemasons an enviable reputation for providing modern, comfortable accommodation with a wide range of professional services and resources available on-site.
Both low care and high care residents receive 24 hour care for physical, social and emotional support. Continuing and ongoing care is provided for changing needs, from respite through to palliative care – as reflected in our principles ‘For You For Life’.
Our Rooms
All low care residents at Elizabeth Gardens are accommodated in single, private rooms, with en-suite and sitting areas. Twin and single high care rooms are available.
All rooms have a garden view and are furnished with fully adjustable electric beds, wardrobes, bedside tables and overbed tables. Residents are encouraged to bring items of sentimental value, artwork, TV, chair or a favourite piece of furniture to help them feel comfortable in their new home.
Our Shared Spaces
Multiple dining and lounge areas throughout the buildings provide opportunities for residents, family and friends to socialise privately. These peaceful and comfortable areas are also where residents can relax, enjoy a book or a game of cards or spend time with friends or family, who are always welcome to visit, at any time. We’re happy to help with arrangements for special occasions or family celebrations and there is ample off street parking for guests.
An open plan living space for high care residents is closely supervised in a secure environment with the ongoing support of our dedicated team.
An Active Lifestyle
At Elizabeth Gardens, we give our residents every opportunity to experience a full, active and rewarding lifestyle. There are a variety of therapeutic and recreational activities and programs provided on site to cater for residents’ individual needs and preferences including: exercise programs, active games, mental stimulation activities, dementia specific activities, different cultural programs, music and visits from entertainers and community groups and more. Day excursions on the Royal Freemasons bus to visit parks and have picnics and similar activities, are also available. For those who prefer more relaxing pastimes, residents can sit back with the day’s newspaper or a favourite magazine.
