Supporting Our Work: Donations & Bequests
While government funding covers much of the cost of service delivery, it is reliant on Royal Freemasons to meet the considerable costs associated with buildings and capital equipment. Only through donations are we are able to continue to provide a standard of care and accommodation for our residents and clients that many would view as appropriate for their loved ones.
Donations also help provide funding for important research projects that extend our knowledge about how best to respond to the needs of Australia's aging population. Our research, recognised internationally, is shared with other aged care providers for the betterment of all.
Your support for our work can take many different forms. A direct donation to Royal Freemasons helps to fund our recurrent activity and will most typically be spent in the same year the donation is made. Another popular form of giving is to The Taylor Foundation, a perpetual charitable foundation, administered by our Trustees, for the sole purpose of providing long-term financial support for our work from income generated by the Foundation. A bequest, either to Royal Freemasons or to The Taylor Foundation, is a gift that will keep on giving long after you have gone. When we are alive we are often prevented from making the gifts we would like to make because of the need to provide for our own future. When you make a will you can plan important gifts that can help you shape the future and make a real difference to those in genuine need.
