Windsor House
From the moment you step through the door into the magnificent shared lounges of Windsor House, it is clear that this superior residential care facility is something special. Nestled in the leafy suburb of Wantirna South in Melbourne's East, at the gateway to the scenic Mt Dandenong ranges, the location of Windsor House is just one of its many attractions. An extra service wing of Centennial Lodge, residents at Windsor House receive a number of additional amenities and services as well as Royal Freemasons' quality care and professional support, tailored to their every need.
There are beautifully decorated, spacious single and double bedrooms, a varied menu of delicious, home cooked meals, served with a selection of sherries, beers and Australian wines. Large shared spaces are reminiscent of a grand stately home and provide the perfect setting for residents to enjoy visits from friends and family, relax with a book, play a game of cards or enjoy a good conversation with other residents of this friendly community of like-minded individuals.
The location, the building, the extra services and the reassurance that come with Royal Freemasons' trusted reputation, make Windsor House the type of accommodation that we would all want for a loved one needing higher levels of care.
An Active Lifestyle
Quality of life is an important aspect of Royal Freemasons' commitment to holistic care, and at Windsor House, we give our residents every opportunity to experience a full, active and rewarding lifestyle. A wide range of activities is offered both on site and through the regular schedule of outings throughout the week. Activities include art and craft, bowls, pottery, cooking, cards, music and visits from entertainers and community groups. As part of the Extra Service offer, residents Windsor House can enjoy a number of special facilities not available in any of the other aged care accommodation options. Take a trip to the therapy room or pamper yourself with a visit to our hair and beauty salon for a complimentary blow-wave, set or haircut. We also offer a podiatry service, which visits every six weeks.
Every effort is made to enable residents to continue to enjoy any activities or hobbies they may have pursued before entry to Windsor House and all individual and group activities are overseen by our Lifestyle Program Manager to ensure residents receive a lifestyle program to suit their individual choices and needs.
Committed to Care
At Windsor House, we are committed to a client centred service model of care. With superb on-site facilities and 24-hour care and support provided by a highly trained team of professional Royal Freemasons staff, including Care Managers and a variety of allied health services, offering physiotherapy, speech pathology, occupational therapy, optometry and a dietician, residents can expect the high standards of service that have been a hallmark of the organisation since it was first founded in 1867.
The Executive-Operations manages Windsor House, with support on all non-clinical matters provided by the Manager. There is a panel of doctors, approved by our highly regarded Senior Geriatrician, Associate Professor Sam Scherer, although residents can opt to continue to use their own doctor if they wish.
