Coppin Centre
Located at Royal Freemasons' original Moubray Street home, adjacent to St Kilda Road, Coppin Centre offers low care accommodation that follows the same high standards of excellence and innovation that the organisation was founded upon all those years ago. Providing a range of specialist services and facilities, Coppin Centre enables residents to lead a rich and rewarding lifestyle in a comfortable environment and as part of a community of like-minded residents.
Accommodation is available at the newly completed Coppin Lodge or at Moubray House, which is currently undergoing progressive refurbishment. Click on either of the links above to find out more, or call our friendly staff on 1300 1 ROYAL.
The building is set amongst beautiful gardens and offers a number of single rooms with en suits, plus a handful of rooms for couples. Each room is fitted with a 'VitalCall' emergency button, which can also be worn as a pendant, and is linked to a paging system carried by members of staff, ensuring emergency support will always be available no matter where you are, day and night. Cleaning and laundry is taken care of, and there are comfortable shared areas where residents can socialise, spend time reading, relaxing or enjoy a visit from family and friends who are welcome to stay and enjoy morning tea, light lunch or afternoon tea in the Coppin Coffee Shop. A wide choice of social and recreational activities are available, and should residents wish to do some personal shopping, regular bus trips are available to take them to nearby Chapel Street.
An Active Lifestyle
Coppin Centre offers an exceptional Leisure and Lifestyle program. On site, residents have the opportunity to participate in individual and group activities, including cooking, pottery, art, snooker and card games. There is a regular calendar of organised day outings to events and attractions around Melbourne, while other activities centre around health and fitness, with physiotherapy, massage therapy and group exercise classes available on site.
Committed to Care
At Coppin Centre, we are committed to a client centred service model of care. A dedicated team of Clinical Care Coordinators ensure that residents receive the highest standards of daily nursing and personal care, while allied health professionals provide a range of health services including Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, dietician, Optometry, and Australian Hearing Services.
Coppin Centre is managed by the Director of Nursing, with the support on all non-clinical matters provided by the Operations Manager. A panel of doctors, approved by our highly regarded Senior Geriatrician, Associate Professor Sam Scherer, conducts regular clinic in the Health Centre, although residents can opt to continue to use their own doctor if they wish.
